Thanks to TypeScript I'm finally scrubbing the last traces of JQuery out of my code and saying goodbye to this technology

JavaScript in 2007 was a cross-browser compatibility nightmare. jQuery arrived as salvation — one lib covered DOM manipulation, AJAX and event handling across all browsers at once. Without it, writing interactive pages was significantly harder.
