It lets you connect to data sources, build dashboards, explore metrics/logs/traces and set up alerts (notifications), no matter where that data lives.
Found it on StackOverflow while hunting for log visualization tools. Tried bolting it onto SharePoint. If you solve the SAML authentication problem, it works beautifully (I didn't solve it — I just made a backdoor in our dear SharePoint with NTLM auth, strictly for our own people and scoped to the intranet domain).
