We were setting up Azure infrastructure for some of our web services — one team member even got certified. But in mid-2022, for political reasons, we had to wind it all down. The experience and the certificate stayed; the cloud didn't: from here on we're looking at domestic providers.

Started digging deeper into Azure with a possible move of our infrastructure to the cloud in mind. It's a broad ecosystem of services built around .NET: App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Key Vault. A full-scale adoption is complicated by regulatory requirements around data residency and restrictions on using Western clouds for part of our client profile.
