Keycloak is an open-source IAM system from Red Hat. It takes over authentication, authorization, user management, and SSO. Supports OAuth2/OIDC and SAML. Moving to microservices, we needed a centralized access management solution — Keycloak nailed that job: services delegate authentication to it instead of each rolling its own.
